Simple Things First
April is National Stress Awareness Month!
While it's tempting to seek the "quick fix, "better hack," "next level," or "advanced techniques," there's no replacement for taking care of the basics.
Let's look at MORNING ROUTINES, for example.
Rolling out of bed feeling rushed just before starting a work day can set the stage for a stressful day. It's the same as getting up and dragging your feet out of bed with a negative mindset, already thinking about how bad this is going to be before it even starts.
We know this, but many still keep it going.
What if you give yourself an extra 10 minutes to start the morning smoother?
What if you think about just one thing you're grateful for this morning?
What if you bring something to look forward to today to the front of your mind?
Sounds simple, right? When we know we can take care of simple things and build on small habits, we build confidence and trust that we can do more, do harder things, and achieve higher aims.
I love sharing next-level strategies, exploring the details, and exploring the history and personal stories to truly overcome limiting thoughts and stressful experiences so we can achieve great things and be great people. At the same time, we must take care of the fundamentals, like simple self-care habits (even though they may not be easy at first).
You got this!
